Our therapists use an artificial intelligence note-taking tool that assists in generating clinical documentation based on session summaries. This technology allows our clinicians to spend more time focused on your care rather than administrative tasks. Here's how it works:

• Your therapist creates a brief summary of your session in our electronic health record.
• The AI tool uses this summary, along with additional clinical inputs, to generate a more complete clinical note.
• Human-in-the-Loop: Your therapist reviews, edits, and verifies the accuracy and completeness of every AI-generated note. The therapist maintains final authority over all documentation.
• The final approved note becomes part of your protected health record.

The artificial intelligence tool we use prioritizes the privacy and confidentiality of your personal health information:

• All data is subject to strict privacy regulations and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Information is always secured and encrypted during transmission and storage.
• Stringent business associate agreements (BAA) ensure data privacy; the AI vendor cannot use your information for any purpose other than generating your clinical documentation.
• We monitor our AI implementation to ensure it does not result in algorithmic discrimination or bias.

Your participation in the use of AI for clinical documentation is voluntary:

• Use of this technology is not a condition of receiving services.
• You may request that AI not be used in generating your clinical notes.
• Right to Correction: Consistent with Colorado law, you have the right to review your records and request corrections to any information, including segments assisted by AI.
• You can withdraw your consent to AI use at any time without affecting the quality of your care.
